History of School:

The school has existed for 50 years. For thirty years they worked outdoors with a lack of furniture. Now thanks to the DIGICEL Foundation they have a brand new school, furniture for six classrooms.

About the School:

Carrefour des Peres is a National School working with the authorization of the Ministry of Education. 216 students are enrolled at school, 111 boys and 115 girls. The school teaches up to the 6th grade and offers the following subjects: Creole, French, Maths, Social Sciences and Experimental Science.

The Board of Directors is composed of 3 people, the director of the school, and 2 teachers. Their mission is to monitor and manage the smooth running of the school and the property of the school.

The committee includes parents of 5 parents; they help the Board to ensure the smooth running of the school.

Partners of the School:

In 2007 the Foundation DIGICEL reconstructed and furnished the school. In 2008, the Foundation financially supported the payment and training of teachers.

The school is part of a food program. This program is supported by the PNCs. This program provides a meal for staff and students each day. Students are vaccinated by MSPP and are followed throughout the year.
